The 32-semester hour Biology MS is a research-oriented program, requiring 26 hours of course work, and 6 hours of thesis. An intermediate course in Russian for those students who have taken Beginners' Russian I and II or who have a GCSE in the language. Manipulate and critically interpret data related to methods covered in this module. Prerequisite: BISC 2450; BISC 2332 recommended. The remaining 16 credits may be satisfied by additional electives within the department (thesis, project, problems, or more course work), by transfer credit for approved graduate level biological sciences courses taken at other accredited institutions (9 credit maximum), or by graduate courses taken in related disciplines within the University (e.g., bioinformatics, chemistry, environmental sciences, chemical engineering, radiological sciences; 8 credit maximum).

In this way the course meets the needs of the actual work field. During your studies you gain extensive knowledge in the field and learn how to apply fundamental research to biotechnical product development such as vaccines, drugs, diagnostic tests biofuels and enzymes , e.g. Physics and Modelling of Wind read pdf read pdf.

If the GPA is not brought above the 2.0 level during the quarter on probation, the student will be dropped from the major ref.: The Concept of Race. Almost everyone has heard of the human genome project, but fewer are aware of the spectacular technical progress in this field and the fact that over 1,000 different organisms have had their genome sequenced. Until recently, most of these have been microorganisms, but technological and computational progress has made it progressively easier and cheaper to sequence the genomes of higher organisms ref.: Practical Textbook of Cardiac CT and MRI Practical Textbook of Cardiac CT and MRI. A maximum of six (6) cr. hrs. of BIOL 4995 and BIOL 4956 combined will be counted toward the major.
